Cowboy Chili with Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (15-ounce) can chili beans
  • 2 tablespoons TABASCO® brand Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce

Preparation

Cook meat in a large skillet over medium heat until brown, about 5 minutes, stirring to break into smaller pieces. Add onion and garlic and cook until tender, about 5 minutes, stirring often. Drain off excess fat, if any. Stir in tomato sauce, water, chili powder and salt and mix well. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes longer or until most of liquid has evaporated. Stir in chili beans and TABASCO® Green Sauce and heat through.

Makes 4 servings.
