Spicy Carrot Horchata

  • 4 1/2 cups cooked brown rice
  • 4 1/2 cups carrot juice
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 3 tablespoons TABASCO® brand Buffalo Style Hot Sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract


Combine all ingredients and process in batches in a blender until very smooth. Refrigerate until cold and serve in tall glasses.

Makes 12 (8-ounce) servings.

Popular in Latin America and Spain, horchata is a delicious sweet drink made with grains, nuts, or seeds, such as rice, almonds, or sesame seeds. This version kicks it up a notch with the addition of carrot juice and TABASCO® brand Buffalo Style Hot Sauce.
