Buffalo Firecracker Shrimp

  • 2 quarts cooking oil
  • 1 cup bottled creamy French dressing
  • 3 tablespoons TABASCO® brand Buffalo Style Hot Sauce
  • 2 cups corn flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 40 jumbo wild shrimp (16 to 20 count), peeled and deveined (about 2 to 2 1/2 pounds)
  • 8 green onions, sliced diagonally
  • 2 teaspoons black sesame seeds


Pour oil into a deep-fat fryer or large saucepan and heat to 375°F. Combine French dressing and TABASCO® Buffalo Style Sauce in a small bowl and mix well; set aside.

Combine corn flour, salt, and pepper in another bowl and blend well. Dredge shrimp through mixture and fry till golden brown; drain on paper towels.

Toss shrimp with French dressing mixture and green onions. Arrange five shrimp on each plate and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Makes 8 servings.
