Spicy Sausage Gravy

  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup turkey drippings with fat removed or chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce
  • Salt to taste


Cook sausage until well-browned on all sides in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. With slotted spoon, remove sausage to medium bowl.

Remove all but 3 tablespoons fat from skillet; stir in flour until blended. Cook over medium-high heat until mixture is thickened, stirring frequently. Gradually add turkey drippings and milk, stirring constantly until smooth and mixture thickens. Stir in cooked sausage, TABASCO® Sauce and salt to taste; heat through.
