  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 2/3 cup diced red onion
  • 2/3 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 3 tablespoons TABASCO® brand Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 tablespoons shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 6 sesame seed rolls


In a large bowl combine the beef, onion, green pepper, TABASCO® Green Sauce, mustard, Worcestershire, salt and pepper. Mix well and divide meat into 6 portions. Make an indentation in the middle of each burger, fill with 1 tablespoon cheese, and cover with hamburger so the cheese is concealed in the center.

Grill over medium high or broil burgers 8 minutes per side or until cooked through and cheese is melted. Serve on rolls.

Makes 6 servings.

    I tasted this in my local super market the other day when they had Tabasco promotion running, and loved the recipe so much that I came to find the recipe. I have now made my own hamburger patties,and they were yummy!!
