Heat oil in a large, heavy, non-aluminum saucepan over medium heat. Add onions and garlic and sauté 10 to 12 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.
Add tomatoes, TABASCO® Sauce, salt, sugar, and cilantro; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes or until slightly thickened.
Place hot cooked pasta on a heated serving platter; top with sauce and sprinkle with cheese.
