Spicy Onion Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons dehydrated minced onion
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups biscuit mix
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400°F. Soak dry onion in water for 5 minutes. Combine biscuit mix, egg, milk, and TABASCO® Sauce in a bowl and stir until blended. Stir in onion. Turn into a greased 8-inch pie plate.

Sprinkle top with caraway seeds and brush with melted butter. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until bread is golden brown.

Makes one 8-inch round loaf, about 8 servings.
