Ingredients

  • 5 bagels
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

Preheat broiler. Slice bagels crosswise into fifths. Melt butter in a small saucepan over very low heat; add garlic and cook 2 minutes or until softened. Add lemon juice, TABASCO® Sauce, and salt and mix well.

Place bagel slices on a baking sheet and brush liberally with butter mixture on one side. Broil until golden, about 1 minute, watching carefully. Turn and broil until golden on other side. Serve hot, or cool and store in an air-tight container.
