Brunch : Garlic Cheese Grits

  • 8 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups grits
  • 1 (6-ounce) roll refrigerated garlic cheese, cut into cubes
  • 8 ounces sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Original TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Paprika to taste

Combine water and salt in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Whisk in grits. Cook until thickened, stirring occasionally.

Stir in garlic cheese, Cheddar cheese, butter, eggs, TABASCO® Sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Spoon grits mixture into a shallow 3-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake in a 350°F oven for 45 minutes.

Makes 16 servings.
