Burgers : Jamaican Portobello Burgers
- 2 teaspoons curry powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 small onion, chopped fine
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon TABASCO® brand Habanero Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 6 portabella mushroom caps
- 6 hamburger rolls
- 6 lettuce leaves
- 6 tomato slices
In a large bowl whisk together curry, thyme, onion, vinegar, mustard, oil, TABASCO® Habanero Sauce, salt and pepper. Add the mushrooms and toss to coat. Let marinate for 30 minutes.
Remove from the marinade and grill or broil for about 10 minutes or until tender. Serve on hamburger rolls with lettuce and tomatoes.
Makes 6 servings.
