American : Spicy Avocado BLTs
- 3/4 pound (12 slices) thick-cut bacon
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon TABASCO® brand Habanero Sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 ripe avocado, cut into 1/4-inch thick slices
- 2 small tomatoes, cut into 1/4-inch thick rounds
- 4 leaves Boston leaf lettuce or romaine
- 8 slices seven-grain bread, toasted
Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp; drain on paper towels and set aside. Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, lemon juice, TABASCO® Habanero Sauce, and salt in a small bowl and mix well.
Spread about 1 tablespoon sauce on each of 4 pieces of bread. Top each with 3 slices bacon and 1/4 of the avocado, tomato, and lettuce. Top with remaining bread slices, secure with toothpicks, and cut sandwiches in half.
Makes 4 servings.
