Main Dishes : Big Easy Turkey Loaf
- 2 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons TABASCO® brand Steak Sauce
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 pounds ground turkey (preferably 10% fat)
- 2 ribs celery, finely chopped
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2/3 cup dried bread crumbs
- 2/3 cup crushed corn flakes
- 1/4 cup ketchup
Place oven rack in center positon and preheat oven to 375°F.
Combine eggs, TABASCO® Steak Sauce, parsley, and salt in a mixing bowl and mix well. Crumble ground turkey into bowl and add celery, onion, bread crumbs, and corn flakes. Mix thoroughly with hands and shape into a 10x5-inch loaf in a 13x9-inch baking dish. Spread ketchup evenly over outside of loaf.
Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour or until loaf is springy to the touch and juices from center run clear, not pink, when pierced with a fork. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before cutting. Serve hot or cold.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
