Grilled Sweet & Spicy Onions

Ingredients

  • 3 very large sweet onions (2 1/2 to 3 pounds)
  • 1/3 cup TABASCO® brand Buffalo Style Hot Sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey or brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup olive oil

Preparation

Peel onions and cut crosswise into 1/2-inch-thick slices. Combine TABASCO® Buffalo Style Sauce and honey in a small bowl and mix well; set aside.

Lightly brush onion slices with oil and grill over medium heat for 10 minutes or until onions are tender, turning carefully with a spatula several times to prevent burning and basting occasionally. Brush honey mixture on both sides of onion slices and grill 1 minute longer.

Makes 6 servings.
