Sweet & Smoky Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients

  • 2 racks baby back ribs (about 3 pounds)

Marinade

  • 1/4 cup apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce

Rub

  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce

Glaze

  • 1/4 cup ketchup

Preparation

Trim ribs.

Combine apple cider, brown sugar, lemon juice and TABASCO® Chipotle Sauce in medium bowl. Add ribs; turn to coat with marinade. Cover, or place mixture and ribs in large resealable bag. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.

Combine all rub ingredients in small bowl. Drain ribs; blot dry with paper towels. Spread rub mixture on both sides of ribs.

Heat grill to medium-low.

Grill ribs for 45 minutes covered, turning occasionally. During last 10 minutes of grilling, brush ribs with ketchup.

Makes 4 servings.

Serve with Apple Slaw.

    Outstanding! They all disappeared quickly at the party with hearty praise! One suggestion: plan ahead to make more dry rub if you have more than 3 lbs. of ribs. Probably doubling the recipe would do. If you want them spicier, use hotter Tabasco products. These were incredible!
