Ingredients

  • 1 cup peeled, seeded, and diced papaya
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened pineapple juice or water
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon TABASCO® brand Caribbean Style Steak Sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve at room temperature with fish or grilled poultry.

Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
