  • 1 1/4 cups fresh, soft cheese, such as farmer, ricotta, pot, goat, or cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup plain lowfat yogurt
  • 1/3 cup thinly sliced carrot
  • 1 small tomato, seeded and diced
  • 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced cucumber
  • 1/3 cup mixed fresh herbs, such as parsley, basil, dill or mint
  • 1 tablespoon candied ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 pita bread pockets or flour tortillas, sliced in half


Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Serve in pita bread pockets, or spread on tortillas and roll up.

Makes 8 servings.
