MARKING A MILESTONE

A Letter From Paul McIlhenny
President & CEO of McIlhenny Company

Ten years ago, McIlhenny Company embarked on a project that has become one of the more significant programs in our marketing efforts for TABASCO® brand products. It began with a competition we created among a few marketing students at Louisiana’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to see what ideas and practices they would use to promote TABASCO® on their campuses. The program has evolved to a point where a select group of students is chosen annually to work as marketing interns in conjunction with our corporate marketing professionals to execute similar programs for the brand. And, in this 10th year, we are proud to say that over 300 student interns have now completed the intern program with great success. Over the years, this has become a win-win initiative whereby McIlhenny Company provides the students an opportunity to work with a global brand and, in turn, the students share their energy and marketing ideas with us as they tell the TABASCO® brand story in their own unique way.

We are delighted to share in this 10th Anniversary celebration with our esteemed academic partners – Dillard, Xavier, Grambling and Southern Universities – and all the professors and students who have worked so diligently to make the program a success throughout the years.
